Anybody hear of 400 bull comeing out of idaho this season? I've heard rumors but thats it. Anyone have any info I would like to hear it.

I know first hand of a bull that was shot in a general area on the archery hunt this year that gross scores over 400. It's an incredible bull.

I didn't hear of one that scored 400" but I did hear of one that scored 550"!!!! WOW!!!

It's Bush's fault!!!

Not the "Selway bull", as if they could get that big up there. I havent seen or heard about this bull on this website or any other. Just curious if rumor has some truth to it.

Boone and Crockett Trophy watch will have it if there are rumors flying.
I am having people calling me about that Selway Bitterroot bull. Had one guy print out a 8x10 glossy and come to my jobsite and I had to tell him about the Canada raised bull. He walked off and jumped on phone and I saw him standing by his truck for about 10 minutes and then saw him tear up the picture and he left. Was pretty funny.
But have not heard anything about one that big except that one.

Is it one of those really cool hand raised fence gaurded trophy bulls? I hope not?

It's ALL true!

The hunter had to shoot the bull while the bull had its back leg inside of the wolf's mouth. Then a wrestling match ensued between the wolf and the hunter allowing the bull to run off 800 yards. The archery hunter was then able to bring down the bull with his second shot, only to later loose the carcas to another wolf pack, I think it was the Blue Bunch Pack....

Bessy was riding on its back chaseing Atvs at the time it was shot.

Actually, there was supposedly a bowkilled bull grossing at or above 400 this year taken in eastern Idaho. I know the guy's name, but I'll wait for him to worry about broadcasting it.
This is NOT the infamous "Selway bull" but the real deal, from what I understand.
I also heard that his brother took a giant bull the same day, on a DIFFERENT hunt. Egads.
Then there's me - my pronghorn's horns were bigger than my spike bull's antlers this year. MMMMM, spike <drool>

I too know of a 400 gross bull shot on the archery hunt....probably the same that PRN is talking about. I saw the picture. I believe that it grossed right at 400 but netted in the 390's because he had an extra eye guard. Great bull from a great hunting family. I will leave the name out because I don't have their permission to post. But it is true.

Just saw in Peterson's Hunting that the "500 plus Selway Bull" was pen raised in Canada. It's been proven.

There are two brothers that frequent the Idaho archery proshop in Idaho falls. They both killed some nice bulls this year one near 400 gross and the other 360 ish. I think they are trying to keep it low key cause they don't want the south east Idaho Elk zones over run next year. It's true I have seen the pictures of the bulls and it's the real deal not the selway internet bull.

I've seen these two bulls also..they are legit. Great bulls for two great hunting brothers.
