I'm a taxidermist and my brother in law calls me this morning(early waking me up) and says hey I got a bear to bring you. I said ok, he says i'll be there in 3 minutes ( he lives across the street) SO anyway his 12 year old son has an elk tag, and yesterday was the last day of elk season and it snowed the day before, so they throw their 2 dogs in, incase they cross a lion track while looking for elk, so they are going down the road and about 9:00a.m. and cross a BIG set of bear tracks. So they turn the dogs out and run it a little ways and it goes up into a cave, well my brother in law had to crawl up in there and shot the bear from 10 feet! this bear is big! I'de guess him at right at 400lbs, jet black with a white chest! BEAUTIFUL so they drag him out and get him back to the truck. we'll they still have half the day left to try and get his boy an elk. SO they hunt and little while and come across a little rag horn 4x4, and his 12 year old was able to knock it down, his first elk, so he pulls up to my house with a 4x4 and a huge bear, what a day of huting they had! I was jealous for not being invited to go!

Sounds Fun. You might be carful, Depending on the state, It sounds like he could have broke a few laws....
Not many places let you run hounds when any kind of deer or elk season is on. not many places have an open bear season in Nov. because they are in the dens (CAVE).
I am not implying anything. Where I live this would not have gone over well with the fish cops.
It does sound like a good day though.

Looks like AZ....and you can do both. Pics please!! I'd love to see a big ole' bruin and a boy with his first elk.

Gotta make you smile, bro!
