Big changes
First is it me or did bows get added to muzzleloader season finally? Second, muzzleloader and rifle seasons go later, because of when Sat falls? And, again, 6 days to bowhunt, yikes (16 late bowhunt), that is to little, I doubt I will apply for a hunt with that short of time. 8 days seems to be a bare minimum IMO.
APRE are gone (except late hunts)? Crap I really was looking forward to hitting 34 after a few years of this?
Lot of changes and lots of stuff to think about.
After the rumors of some tags getting cut (by 60%) in northern NM there are actually more tags!

The max poaching fines look nice iffin the judges will hand down the max penalty and all efforts are used to collect...

Show me where point restrictions have worked in other states?
For some reason, unit 34 has become the mecca of NM! My buddy had a muzzle tag there, and he got a decent 5x5. He ran into out of staters that were going to hold out for a 350 bull! He camped next to an outfitter and they went 1-11!
I drew a third choice cow tag in unit 34. I went all over that unit, and never heard a shot or saw a elk with an elk. I only saw one elk in 3 days, and it is now in my freezer!
It is getting beyond tough to draw any tag. Before long, it will go to the highest bidder!
