Do I have a reasonable chace to draw a Utah elk hunt with only 6 points? Hoping to kill a 350" bull wiht the tag if I ever get one.

I'd say if you're tyring to draw an early rifle tag you've only got about 20-50 more years
The beauty of Utah's draws is you'll always have a chance. Maybe less than 1% but it's still a chance.

Dido on the Huntodds.com. Don't plan on a rifle tag for at least another 8 years unless you're very lucky. You are not even guaranteed with max points anymore.

It is real simple.... apply for the unit/weapon choice you want and go for it.
Utah, as some other states, is a bonus point state... you do have a chance if you apply.
I haven't drawn a tag with more than 8 points in the last 10 years... all my draw tags have come with less than 8 points... some with 2 or even 3 points...... screw odds... go for the unit you want to hunt and enjoy.....

My bro. drew an awesome elk tag in Ut. with 4 points. I had 11, and he wanted us to put in and hunt together. Well, I didn't want him to "hurt my odds" with all my "valuable" points. You guessed it. He had the hunt of a lifetime and I still have my points. Put in for what/where you want to hunt and don't worry about the rest.

Actually wholelottabull I had 2 utah tags in 3 years. Pahvant and south cache. Az unit 10 early came a couple years later.
The south cache was a dedicated hunter tag. No waiting periods apply.

I notice no-one is really specifying just what they drew. It could be LE bull and a cow tag somewhere to make 2.
