I am looking to find an outfitter for the upcoming 2007 Elk season. Does anyone have any suggestions on outfitters in Utah, Colorado, Idaho or Wyoming? Any personal or first hand information is appreciated!

Thanks,

I work with one of the owners of Deserts Edge outfitters who guides in Utah. Darren, with Deserts Edge is a good man and a great guide, I would recommend him to anyone. Good Luck!

IF YOUR GOING TO BE A BEAR BE A GRIZZLY BEAR!A great new outfitter in unit 4 in northern Idaho. North Idaho outfitters. Has some great bulls in his area and works very hard to get you in on a big bull. Travis Clemenson 208-443-3024 or 208-6109844

treehugnhunter,

I am looking for a hunt in the $4-7k range. An 300+ bull would be great for me! Any suggestions are most welcome!

LAST EDITED ON Dec-30-06 AT 09:42PM (MST)[p]JFWRC,

I looked at the sight and it looks like you have taken some nice animals. I'd love to chat some time after the new year. I also might have 3 or 4 other buddies that want to book onto whatever hunt I decide on. I don't know much about the liscence/tag/draw process of New Mexico, so I'm all ears. Would I just call you on the contact phone number on your website? Let me know.

Copple2,

Either way is fine. My direct e-mail is [email protected]. If you want to shoot me your number via PM or e-mail I could call you at a time convenient with you as well. Whichever is most comfortable with you. Jim

There is a guy in NM that you need to talk to, PM me for more information. 60,000 private acres and he has some giant bulls on the place, they took an archery bull that was 404" this year. No draw required, he has landowner tags so you will not run into anybody else out in the field.

If your looking for an archery hunt. I recommend Elk Cr. Family Outfitters. They have some giants and the accomodations are pretty plush for an outfitter. You can only rifle hunt this area if you are lucky enough to draw the tag. They recently started outfiting their ranch so they don't have a huge client base yet. Dave Hein is the owner. www.bowhuntelk.com give him a call he's real nice. Tell him Bart sent you.
