This is the first time they've ever been out this early. Usually it is late April before they come out.

If you read the regs, it says there will be online apps this year. Yet if you read the G&F news release, this is what it says:

"Applicants can begin applying with paper applications only. The department continues to work on issues associated with an online application process. If all goes well, hunters should also be able to apply via computer sometime in early to mid-January."

Anybody else think this will create serious problems?

They are testing the system ( to insure they don't have repeat issues like last year. If it fails there will only be paper. The company that they hired to handle the application process modified their system to be able to handle the volume. The department is testing & retesting to make sure all is well before they flip the switch. My guess is that you will see it up and running after the first of the year still in time for this years draw and hopefully glitch free.
