i know where los Alamos is just never heard of los Alamosa. guess it's been awhile since I've seen a g&f officer, they did wear blue. that's either a little guy or a really big deer.

MMers. Check out the post sent in to the MULE DEER Forum on Sept. 7, 2016 through the help of Founder identified as 9x11 New Mexico Non-Typical. This picture was taken of the same deer in August in the LA area and was known as HAMMER! Too bad he had to go out this way!

Wow that's giant, too bad about its demise. The two biggest muleys I've ever seen were in the Jemez, about that caliber, but that was ~30 years ago.

Los Alamos is where they developed the nuclear bombs in the 40's ill bet that there is some leftover nuclear bomb residue in the soil maybe that is why these bucks in this area are so huge.
That is an absolute brute of a buck can you imagine seeing him in your scope and trying to stay calm for a shot

It's great to see what potential Mule deer have in our state. The fact that they are town deer that aren't hunted is a plus.

Not just genetics but new growth from previous two fires(cerro grande and Los
Concha) that burned out the entire forest which open up a lot of good habit area. I've seen some great bucks along high way 4 going towards Los Alamos.
