I took these pictures of a nice 4pt here in UT a couple days ago. Beleive it or not there is still 1 left here! LOL. The pictures were taken from close to 500yds so they are not the best quality (sorry). I wanted to try to get closer but there were a bunch of other deer between me and the buck and I didnt' want to push them. I took 46 pictures of this buck using different amounts of zoom and camera settings. These were the best of the bunch. Hope you like them.

This one was taken with the spotting scope on 40x and the camera zoomed in to 3x optical. (total of 120x I guess)

This one was taken with the spotting scope on 40x and the camera zoomed in to 5x digital zoom. The digital zoom makes it a little grainy as you can see.

As you can see this doe came in and bedded down by him. About 5 minutes later he decided to take a snooze. Maybe he figured he was safe while she kept a look out? Smart ol' bugger!

Good looking buck, got some good forkes. weird to see him laying like that.

See, I knew utah still had one or two good bucks left!!! HA HA non-believers!!! :)

Great buck, thanks for posting!!

I'd herd of bucks with horns so big & heavy that in order to move, they had to drag them on the ground while they walked backwards, I guess this buck must be one of those, since he has to lay them on the ground in order to take a nap.
& all this time I thought those where just B.S. stories.

Dandy Buck Shawn, thanks for posting and sharing the photo's..yeah, hopefully you can find the sheds just like jerry said......thanks again buddy for sharing, Dwayne

I'm glad the doe was bedded next to him when he layed down like that. I was a little worried that without her in the picture someone might actually think that I DID lay the hammer down on him. LOL! If I am lucky enough to get his sheds I will be sure to post a picture up for you guys. There are a few people keeping a pretty close eye on him so odds of me picking them up are pretty slim.

Jerry/Cowboye, unfortunately I am SOL here in UT next year for muleys. Because of the 2 deer in 3 years for our Dedicated Hunter program I will not even be able to get a tag. Oh well. Maybe he'll be even that much bigger in 2005?

The closer it gets the worse it hurts to not be able to hunt here.

Thanks for checking him out and for the comments.
