What do you think bull:cow and buck:doe ratios were like when Louis and Clark came through? What were they in the 60's and 70's?
Are we worried about the health of our herds as it relates to what they were created/evolved to be, or only as it relates to what we want as hunters (which appearently is an elk on every rock and log and behind every tree and bush)?
I don't mind more elk being around to hunt, like I said, just stirring the pot...
