Vegas Snow!

Just got home finally. The Entire town of vegas is covered in a blanket of 2" of snow! It's INSANE! I have never seen it like this. It's been snowing for about 2 1/2 hours now. Truck is completely covered! I just took some snapshots with my dads new camera but aren't sure how to upload them to the computer yet. When I figure it out tommorrow i'll post them

2 inches....is that it!!! Cass, you should see up here in SLC, on Christmas Day into the 26th, we got anywhere from 8 inches in some spots to over 2 feet in others.....and that was in the valleys. In the mountains some spots gat almost 5 feet of new snow. It didnt stop there. I live in a spot that didnt get hit very hard and I have about a foot in my yard. My parents have about 2 1/2 feet in their yard, and my inlaws have over 3 feet in their yard!!

Hopefully this will help the drought!!

Man! It didn't stop snowing till 5 this mornin. Dropped somthin like 3-4"! My mom got some pics on her camera and I have some on this new high tech video camera my dad got. Amazing how pretty it was. The last time it stuck like this was nearly 10 years ago! so you can understand my excitment
Standing outside, relaxing with my dog remington and just listenin to how quiet vegas was. So quiet, Just one hell of a night.

Thats cool. I have never seen snow in vegas. Post some pics when u gets some. I have been shoveling snow for three days now and I am still a ways from being done. My next project is uncovering the mailbox we got 30 inches and with this wind, its useless to shovell until it stops blowing.

I must of left just before the snow started. I left the strip for the airport at 11PM on the 29th and it was clear. It was weird though because the night before it snowed just a dusting (I mean very little that was gone mostly before sunrise)and by the Venetian the road was flooded and there was a creek running through the road exiting the hotel lobby/parking garage area. The taxi driver said it flooded anytime it rained there. What would that town do if they got rained on like my home town in Western Washington? Post the pictures I would like to see Vegas in 3 inches of snow.
