Here are a couple of photos of a young buck that has some potential if he can survive another couple of years.(photos from dec 14 and 29) I have not been able to get many photos lately. The snow has been so crunchy that it is almost impossible to get with in camera range of the deer. I have been spending most of my free time lately calling coyotes. I have taken 8 coyotes in the last 2 days and a dozen in the last week. I have really been enjoying all of the other photos that have been posted here latley. It definately makes me want to get out and get some photos.

Look at that short nose and narrow between bases, that guy is real young and is gonna be a toad. Find him in '07 and he'll be a real keeper. I would guess barely 3 years old now.

Thats a great looking deer sask. Have you found any fresh sheds up there yet? There have been a couple fresh sheds posted in the shed forum already. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Cam,
Great pics as usual. That buck has some great potential. Hopefully you can watch him grow in the upcoming years.
Any sign of early droppers yet? I know I'm sure getting restless waitin' for them to drop. I think the moose here are all done now. I hope I can find some fresh moose sheds soon. The snow is set up pretty good so they should be laying on top.

Man those pictures are incredible. It looks like you can see every hair of the deer in the 1st picture.

No signs of bucks dropping yet. We usually don't see anything happening around here with the mulies until late February or March. Then last couple of years the majority of the bucks had their antlers well into March. The whitetails should start dropping any time though.

Out of curiosity, how close were you in those pictures? It seems like you're practically standing on top of them!

Awesome pics! Your photo's are one of the things that keep me around this message board!

Man that is a nice buck. Give me a tag for that area and I'd shoot him now. But he does show good potentional of being a monster when he grows up, must have some good genes.
