what do you like the best me i like the velvet cause it
makes the deer look bigger and its purdier. i want to know what you think.

I like big dark, black hard horns! Velvet bucks are the prettiest, but to kill one, I want his horns DARK!

Is purdier an adjective ?
I like velvet too, unfortunatly currently I don't hunt any seasons that allow me to take one still in the velvet, & if I did, I fear I'd just screw it up by rubbing the velvet off while getting it out.

I definatly like the bucks that are in velvet. I agree that they are a whole lot prettier or (purdier). How would it be to have a monster hangin on your wall when he is in the velvet. WOW i am getting excited just thinking about it. Velvet all the way!!

Velvet is alot of work to take care of. After I get a few more big bucks on the wall I might start looking for one in velvet but until then I'm looking for dark hard horns with ivory tips.

Boy do I love the deer in velvet! We see lots of nice bucks in velvet during elk season. Someday I'd sure like to get a wallhanger (who wouldn't!?) because they sure are purdy!

Velvet antlers are nice but I sure don't care for the pencil necks and moth-eaten looking capes that go with them. I vote for early November as the prime time for a mule deer buck looking his best.

I like em just about any way they come. That's whats neatest about mule deer IMO. All different shapes, colors, configurations, character and sizes.

Velvet bucks are awesome though.

I dont like velvet at all! Plus the animal is not in its prime shape and the cape is usually pretty damn uuuuuugly! I have shot bucks in velvet, peeled it off and stained the antlers. Like that big a$$ buck that Wayne Zaft shot. It was an ugly mo-fo until he ripped all of that nasty looking crap off of it. Now it is b-uteefull.

I'm with polarbear! I love dark horns! A buddies dad shot a REAL NICE 4 point in Montana one year that had flat black horns. It was awesome looking!

Michael~All Gods creatures welcome, right next to the mashed potatoes and gravy.
