Washington Elk Permit Hunters!!

Hey boys and girls, whats the word?? How did your hunts go this year, and how are they going?? i know there is a few late ones that go to the end of Feb. How about the raffle permit and the auction tag guys??

I cannot verify completely but I heard from a good source the elk auction hunter was not going to fill his tag. With a week left in the season he had not harvested and was not able to continue hunting due to time. I will post if I hear anything to the contrary. Cali raffle hunter killed a 156+ last day of the season after trying many stalks with a bow. Cali auction hunter killed a 168-ish ram. Rocky hunter killed a 196-ish ram. Tis all I know.

I have a buddy that was following the elk auction tag holder, and he ended up killing a 360ish bull the last day or two of the season in the Blues. Wanted a 380+, passed on a 370 bull and ended up with something a little smaller. Like my buddy says, that's how trophy hunting goes sometimes! I'd be happy with a 360 bull, maybe not quite as happy on that tag, but happy nonetheless!
