here is a bull i shot with my bow in 2004 in idaho unit 1. i only had 3 hours to hunt after work and figured i could at least get a bull to answer me in that time. i headed up the mountain and parked at a gated road and started hiking up it. i was bugling and cow calling about every 100 yards up the road. i covered about a mile with no answer, i could see the end of the old road so i let out one more bugle before i turned around. two bulls started bugling up the mountain behind me, one sounded like he was within 100 yards of me. i set up on a skidder trail and started to cow call. he answered me every 10 secs. when i knew he was close i quit calling and moved to the side of the skid trail. i wanted him to search for me, thats what he did he came down the skid trail with his head down looking right to where i was supposed to be. i made the broadside shot at a mere 3 yards i hope the pic turns out ok
