I hunted elk with archery equipment on this unit in 2001. It is one tough hunt! I drew with my Bro-in-law. He killed a 5 X 5 that nets 343". I had chances at a couple of bulls but passed. I think we were very lucky and were very familiar with the area. We also hunted this unit in '06. My wife had a rifle tag. The unit has really gone down hill since '01. Not many elk at all. I will not put in for archery again on this unit. And I especially wouldn't if I didn't know the area. With 6 points you would probably draw, But I wouldn't waste 6 points here. In fact, you could probably draw a rifle tag on this unit with 6 points. FYI...My wife killed a very small 6 X 6 this last year. I know of one bull that was killed that went 350", and we seen one other dandy bull. The few other bulls we seen were rags and small 6 points.
