CO Question??

I have the chance to hunt the west elk wilderness 1st 2 weeks of archery with a local guy. DIY hunt, he has horses and mules for the pack - in all I have to do is split costs & help with chores.
I'm looking for any input on hunting this early, any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Jon

Hunt high. Find a ridge that will allow you to glass down into a timbered basin (w/ water) and go for it.
