Oregon Elk??????

First Question. Can someone tell me the DFG website so I can check PP's and draw results from last year?

Second Question. I sure I have 6 pp since I drew in "00" but my son has one less. Looking for a unit to hunt with him this year. Was considering the High Desert just cause of the long season and ES. Last year i think we put in for Murderer's Creek cause we knew we were going to Co.

I'd rather hunt a more remote unit than one with lots of roads. Have stock and am willing to pack in or use the horses to get away from other hunters. Probably never accumulate this many points again in Ore so It'll be a one time shot. Any help would be appreciated. Feel free to PM me.

www.dfw.state.or.us/ is the web page sight. My uncle has hunted the high desert tag for some years now, and from his experience some years he sees alot of elk, then some years he wont see any elk. I can ask him for some more information if you want. I know he hunts the northern portion of the Wagontire Unit if thats of any help too you.

I have not seen the Elk yet, but the biologist at the Paisley Forest Service office has info. on the Elk in this unit. You might give them a call if you are interested in hunting that unit.

I LIVE IN OREGON & HAVE NOT BEEN GETTING GOOD NEWS DUE TO LIONS AMOUNG OTHER THINGS. HAVE 3 OR 4 POINTS BUT WONT BE ABLE TO HUNT RIFLE ELK THIS YEAR DUE TO OTHER HUNTS PLANNED. I THINK THEY ROUND OUT ALL POINTS ACCOURDING TO AMOUNT OF HUNTERS, YOU CAN PUT IN WITH ME NEXT YEAR I WOULD LOVE TO HUNT OFF HORSES AS I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS, ALSO WITH STOCK YOU CAN HUNT OVER THE COUNTER IN SOME GREAT AREAS AND STILL GET POINTS.
