DK and NT,

That's a real nice buck. Looks like the winter in SW Wyoming is a bit tougher than here in the plains. Thanks for posting.

Pretty darn nice! He should gross in the mid to upper 180's....shouldn't he?

LAST EDITED ON Jan-16-04 AT 11:59AM (MST)[p]Awesome pictures!
Great looking buck.
Thanks for sharing.
Best,
Jerry

The buck in the first pic is a narrow guy,so he wouldn't get much for inside spread, but he sure has great fronts. He does not look too good(ribs showing)-hope he makes it through. We are having a tough winter,Jim,hopefully it eases up on them.Very cold over the last coupla weeks, with no end near. The other buck is in much better condition. He is actually a 6x8(counting brows),and a young deer.Later,N.T.

Well Chit, I thought they were the same buck! Now I know why the post is titled "nontyps"!

Awesome Pics Nontypical.

Are these pictures from around the GR/RS area? Just wondering. I've seen a lot of nice bucks this winter but nothing exceptional yet. Its been a very tough winter for the critters.

YH;Not from the RS/GR area-north of there.I agree, the bruisers are few and far between(last yr,too).I'm guessing drought(I hope)is affecting antler growth.I did film one stud this winter;got him breeding a doe.I also got video of a 10x8 that I have filmed 4 yrs now.Now that buck is a buck of a lifetime type.I only have video of him,and if I ever figure out how to freeze some of that,I'll post it for you guys.Later,N.T.

YH, i it sure looks like the area for sure. With all the salt sage in all. But what a heck of a buck!

later, MP
