According to the website...it is closed. Closed 1/31 (yesterday @ 5 pm). Are they extending it?

Area 100 type 1, non-resident special for both the wife and me. She has 1 point, so she should draw in the next 20 years. I don't have any points which gives me about a snowball's chance in hell of getting a tag. Best of luck to all in the 2007 draws!

Roadtrip:

They did close it at 5:00 pm on the 31st. Had a friend try to apply last night after the 5:00pm deadline and he couldn't get through for elk. Teach him to hesitate.

Now I really hope I draw, so I can rub it in.

Have 1 point. Went special non-resident tag Unit 3. Have some private land access, and will hunt Hunter Management Area IF drawn. Partner should have an Oregon limited entry elk tag this year, so he put in for 24, with very poor odds of drawing. Maybe one of us will draw.

Myself and the wife both went special draw, not as a party, 113, 100, 30. We both got a point, like it will make a difference. Fingers are crossed!

good luck on 100, what are the latest draw odds like 1%, and if you see a hunt area with less than 100% odds you might as well not list it as a second choice it'll be full by the end of the first draw. Good luck everybody!!!

I applied for 100 special & have a point fr last year. I read somewhere there are approx 22,000 nonresident hunters w/ one elk pp point but haven't had time to do the math to determine if it's worth waiting for the hard to draw areas.
