CO Snow

How much will the storms this year affect the upcoming hunting season in CO. Have to check. Would hate to blow my points on a hunt if the winter kill is heavy. First post to this site. I have really enjoyed reading all the comments.

All the river basins on the western slope have below average snowpack at this point. There won't be a winter kill on this side of the mountains.

The main drainages are real close to averages.

There is a lot of snow at lower elevations winter ranges. The averages dont take this snow into account as it melts fast and doesnt fill the reservoirs.

THe winter herds are a little lower on the winter range on the western slope than usual but I havent seen any big winter kill and I dont expect any unless the weather really changes.
