LAST EDITED ON Jan-23-04 AT 01:05PM (MST)[p]Take a look above the bucks drivers side antler and find the rocky point on the hill. That is where he was shot from. About 385 yds. Funny thing is we spotted him laying down about 200 yds closer but didn't connect on the first shot. Second shot got him running straight away climbing out of a canyon. The rest is history.

Better view of the point from shot.

over my shoulder, shootin' backward, usin' a mirror, and bouncin' the bullet off a flat rock. with the buck runnin'. lefthanded too. i hunt deer in Az. in wide open country and 400 yd shots are pretty common. hittin' em ain't real common. shootin' at em is.

I definitely couldn't with my slingshot, but with my bow it would be no problem, those expanding broadheads work great for long distance shots!!!!!1

Yeah, as long as I was shootin carbons! Why do you ask, and whats with the "team" of guys posing with that little buck? Sorry, couldn't resist.

Well I shot my first deer 2 years ago at 360 yds with about a 2 1/2 second shot opportunity. The time from when we saw him to the time he dropped was about 6 seconds. We were eating lunch. I think I could make that shot given a good rest.

Michael~All Gods creatures welcome... right next to the mashed potatoes and gravy.

Whats with all this corn feeder stuff? Do people really do that crap? I figured that stuff was illegal.

Heck yea we use corn feeders to get them with in 5 yards then jump out and knife them. works every time. lol :)

Depends on how many shots I would get. I would most likely miss the first 2 or 3 and then connect on shots 4 or 5. Nice buck!

See the ABF on the guys hat All BUCK FEEDER, that what it must means. Nice Buck Did you shoot him with a bow, being that close and all.LOL Looks like a nice area to hunt.

I'd like to think I'd kill him with the first shot, so there would not be a second shot. But I'd probably miss him if he was running that far away. And so would 90% of everybody else. That's a long shot and the odds would be stacked against you. Congrats on taking him.

That's not a hard shot, even with my bow. It was until I started using magnum arrows. Now its no problem.
