I would like to put in for Nevada mule deer. Does anyone know what would be a good unit for 26-30" bucks and which units has the best odds. Please let me know. Thanks

odds of what? getting a 26-30" buck? or odds of drawing? Not to be smart or anything but if you take the time to look in the NV website you can figure your best odds of drawing, and can also figure which area generally harvests the bigger bucks..at least by point count. Again...not to be smart, but...i really don't feel like telling someone who will not even post thier name on thier profile where the best chance of getting a bigger buck is...sorry. Let's do it this way...any area....you can get a 26-30" buck in any area..how's that? Do a little homework. Do you have any bonus points?? If not then i probably would not pack my bags for NV, at least not for any area that will consistently produce bigger bucks.

Your best bet would be area 51 just south of the little town of Rachel, NV.

Your best bet would be to contact a guy on here by the name of CASS, he lives in Nevada. He an honest young fellow who busts his hump to pull out big bucks every year fo his family and friends. I'd say he's one of the best hunters on this site. He sees monsters all the time. Several that are New State Records and one that is damn close to being a World record. I'm sure he'll point you in the right dirrection.

If your looking for a huge buck try for unit 231, and unit 242, there are low deer numbers but the bucks down there get very big. Odds of drawing are tougher but there are some 30 inchers down there.

low deer numbers = excately right= low hunter numbers.
but the bucks get very big = yea ok....ever wonder why? i.e read first sentence.
you must guide for 231 and 242, because if you didn't you would not give out info like this freely if there were not $$$$ involved. Hope he draws because now there are a couple hundred more people putting in for that area that will not hire a guide. Good job!
231 USED to be a premium area, i say used to be, before everyone who found out about it decided that was the place to go. I've hunted it lately (few yrs ago) not nearly the bucks now that people have spread the word. I'm sure you will get a client..someone has to draw it, could be one of those new 200.
