I found these pictures on another site. I was wondering if anyone has anymore information on this buck. My friend said he seen a huge non-typical buck during the late hunt this year I wonder if it's the same deer.

This buck was harvested on Nov. 22,2003 in Chelan **. Wa. By NwOutdoorShop Pro Staff Member Don Gudde. The Buck is a 6x8 and gross scored 207 3/8 and netted 191 6/8 P & Y points. He was using a Bowtech Patriot with carbon metal Matrix arrows and 100 gr.Muzzy Broadheads. While wearing Fields-Edge Camouflage.

Yes! That's the blank white buck from around the Chelan area! I heard he was killed this year! jk
Hey craig, I think you forgot the pics! lol

Michael~All Gods creatures welcome... right next to the mashed potatoes and gravy.

The 191 score is correct on this buck. I've got a couple photos of it from the sportsman show that are much more clean. If someone wants to post them let me know your email and I will send them to you. That buck has incredible mass.

I still cant see the pictures...even pasting the property address. would love to see it though.

Something must be wrong with the link. Here is the long way to see the pictures.

Go to
http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/

Go down to the Bowhunting and Bowhunter showcase click on it

Go to the secound page of topics

Look for Pending new washington state non-typical archery mule deer. There are three pictures of the deer on there. This should work.

I cant even see it that way! Are they field photos or just the rack like the post below?

Craig-that's a great deer, but is there a reason why the pictures (except for the last one) are so distorted? That makes it a bit difficult to judge a pic...

What's up with the walleye vision pics? Maybe that is only a decent buck, but looks like a state record through the beer goggles.
I would like to see clearer pics of that deer, he does look like a brute.

Craig, i dont know man, i am not to sure out net 191, and gross over 200, i just dont see it. there are some deductions with that G2 and G3 that would take him way down. i could be wrong but are you guys seeing what i am seeing. I am sure it goes in the books but it doesnt take much to put an archery deer in the book. It is still a big deer i just dont know about state record.

Garrett

and i am sure it wasnt killed out of chelan Wa, more like Chelan county and us washington people know exactly where he killed it.

Where is this guys shop located or shop that he is a member of?

Garrett

I don't know anything about this deer or the people that shot it. I just saw the picture and was wondering if anyone else knows about it.

Oh ok i got ya. i checked my box i sent you one back.

I think that guy might be blowing a little smoke.

Garrett

it seems they made the pic wider, possibly to make the deer look wider..?..he's a darn nice buck with out the distorting of the pic..good mass..

I am glad I went to the nwoutdoorshop web site because the bottom pictures are better than the top two. I have crappy pictures of that buck on the hoof taken through a spotting scope and holding up the camera to it. I even saw the guys that killed it driving the roads where I was hunting. They had there bows velcroed to the hood and they just drove around all day. It is amazing that that tactic paid off in such a big way for them. A friend of mine blew a stock on him two days before they killed him. It was in Chelan county but not by Lake Chelan. Nice buck and really heavy. The pictures don't show it but his left front fork is bladed out kind of cool looking. The top two pictures have definitely been altered (they don't even look like the same deer). I was thinking he was really nice especially for a bow but not the new state record. It will be interesting to see what he actually scores.

Shane, i saw that rig. i dont bow hunt but from the area. all those guys up there drive the roads. thats the only way most those guys know how to hunt up there. definitly not a state record, definitly not net 191.

Garrett

Now now thats not how we all hunt up there, however I agree that is how most do. For a true bowhunter its embarassing to see that. I feel like it is only going to get worse as the word spreads there will be more unethical hunter up there. We've been hunting two years over there and have yet to see a warden which I think for as many people are hunting you should see more enforcement. Maybe these prime late hunts if there not a draw you should have to take a course and receive a certificate that would help eliminate the guys who aren't serious, just a thought. nwhunter

The part that's laughable. Is that they call this guy a "Pro Staffer", on that site!!!

The buck does net 191, it was measured at the Puyallup Sportsman show a couple of weeks ago, I took some pictures of it there. I agree it doesn't look like 191 net but it was measured by certified B&C scorers.

Ridgerunner is right, it nets 191, I was at the puyallup show also and seen it hanging on the wall with the official Boone and crockett score sheet on it. It also has a broadhead stuck in its horns where he missed it one of the shots. I had my chelan buck scored there also and it came out at 134 P&Y. The guy how shot the buck, his name is Don he lives near me and frequents a buddy of mines archery shop, he bought a bow tech from him. They did do a lot of road hunting over there but this buck was not killed off the road, I not in defense of this guy either, he was after another nontypical and came over a ridge, and jumped this buck. I killed my dear not to far from where his was taken, I cleanly took mine at 35yds with one deadly arrow. Bow hunters are not all unethical, I practice about 4 times a week which is probably way more than your above average rifle hunter does. Anyways got off the topic, the bladed up point on the drivers side of the rack is pretty bad ass, I know the buck is only 26 wide also.

WAMuleyhunter, do you still have that picture of the governors tag buck, we need to get someone to post that for you. I need to get my archery pics posted also.

Bearhunter- its just hard for me to see 191 net. but hey if that is what it is then thats it.

Yes i do have the picture to that Gov. tag. i want to post it, i just need help doing it. All you guys need to see this deer. After you see this deer you will wonder how this archery buck nets 191. Come on guys help a guy out, lets all check out this monster buck.

Garrett

The governers tag buck is AWESOME! Way bigger than this deer, it is interesting that they net about the same though.
