I'm gonna have 4 bonus points each for Turbo Goat and Muley this year. I believe I might be in the running for a deer tag this year for Nv.
Anybody have any preference for either unit 42 or 35 for a shot at a 180 buck?
Thanks in advance!

Robar,
every unit in Nevada has 180+ bucks, it comes down
to the question, what unit can a hunter kill one in.
Draw a tag and then scout, you may find one, but it
comes down to how hard you work. If you draw, check
back with me and I do what I can to help. I know a lot
of good areas, but I won't tell you here.

Im interested in some units in nevada if you would send me a private e-mail I have some questions. Thanks

will someone clarify the price increase. Is the bonus point going to cost 140$ this year?? Thanks

NO, it will be $142.00 but then who is counting a few extra dollars right?

Looks like that is what it is going to be Deerlove. Didn't mean to sound sarcastic, just a bit of humor hopefully. And probably a few years down the road, it will be increased again too.

Dang Brian, I hope I draw a tag soon I think this will be my fourth year with paying for the points. Russ Ps this is going to be an expensive hunt.

I've hunted and worked in both areas. 42 is not really a quality Mule deer area. Very low densities, a lot of fires, and have never heard of any huge bucks coming out of the area. I killed a pretty nice antelope back in 1999, and saw a B&C class antelope while working there in 2002. As for area 35, it has produced some quality deer in the past, but I think 180 may be setting your goals a little high. I would consider myself lucky to get a 160 deer in 35, or most anywhere in NV without some seroius scouting or luck in the best units, or remote areas. There are better units than 35, just look at the at the bonus point page on NDOW's website. The Nevada Wildlife Record Book is an excellent research tool for $40. Nevada has recieved a lot of publicity lately for huge muley's from some major magazines. Its a great place to hunt if you can draw (less crowds, public land), but I would be careful about having too high of expectations.
