CO. units 25/26

anybody know why they have otc cow tags for these units,cwd, too many elk ??? Would it be worth it to get a bull tag for these units ?

The answer is too many elk. Herd numbers are tough to pay attention to in these units though, as the vast numbers of elk flock to the private ranches as soon as the bullets start to fly.

I agree too many cows as we've been hunting this unit annually for the late cow season for the past several years. Lots of private land limits access in the areas we go (on private land).

COLOelkman, I have a good spot in southern Co that I've been very successfull in but I finally realized that my wife and I can get 2 cows for the price of one bull. I already have a garage full of antlers so I've gotten over the ego thing and just want to fill the freezer.do you know of any tresspass ranches that you would be willing to share the info on, if not I fully understand.thank's , Bill
