LAST EDITED ON Feb-09-04 AT 02:00PM (MST)[p]Yeh, these guys have nothing figured out. The only thing these guys have figured out is the fact that if you have enough money you can buy a tag on Utah's best deer unit every year the Pausaugunt! Then to boot, hire some local area boys to tell them where to look. They hunt the Paunsaugunt every year! And have hunted it every year during the glory years while the rest of us have been putting in year after year trying to get the chance! What would you have on the wall if you were able to hunt the Paunsaugunt every year for the last 10+ years? These are some nice bucks, but it's too bad money had to be the reason for their downfall. Sorry, but I'm not impressed.

Someone drinking haterade? Nice bucks. Those who can do, those who can't complain about it.

30inchbucks,

(And clearly from your message you've probably never seen a real 30 inch buck)

There is an old saying... Hostility is a sign of sexual frustration. :)

Sour grapes. No biggie, we all get 'em on occasion. Yup, they got money. Never seen anyone work so hard to get it like them though. Wish I had that kind of drive in me, but I don't.

Hire locals to show them where the deer are. That was pretty funny. I enjoyed that one. You give the "locals" in that town WAY TOO MUCH CREDIT. I'll just leave it at that so as not to offend any of my Kanab buddies. Best one I've heard is a guy that claimed they were building ground blinds out in the hayfields and shooting deer out of underground blinds.

Sorry but I've seen the video footage and I know how they hunt. And those deer are all killed with muzzleloaders to boot. I know enough guys who have drawn the Paunsagaunt and come home with nothing to know better. Drawing that tag guarantees you nothing and my hats off to them for figuring those big mule deer out. My hat is off to anyone who can sneak in on a big deer in that desert country and calmly pop them with a muzzleloader year after year. I drew that tag and the first two big bucks I saw I missed both clean with my .300 mag. And one was about 150 yards away. I was shaking so bad my vision was blurred and I couldn't breath for 5 minutes after. Nothing you say will bother me or them. Ron and CB are my mule deer idols. Don't care for anyone else. ;-)

One thing is for sure... when you get to the top in anything in life, there is always a group out to get you and knock you off the top. Hell, I should know I've been on the bottom my whole life trying to knock people off. :) Just ask the SFW boys about that!! :) :)

-Dawg

I've ran in to the Raddon's a few times over the years. There nice people. I know its hard to sit by every year without drawing while you watch some guys hunt it every year. Thats not the Raddons fault, thats the systems fault. I know the Raddons are ethical hunters and probably know the unit as well as anyone by now. Ive got a ton of video on that top buck. If I can rember how to pull a still , do you want to post it Hounddawg. I do understand how you feel 30inch bucks.

In my opinion, you definately have the wrong definition of the top. If you call buying a tag and paying to find out where to look, a trophy, then I feel you are mislead with your trophy definition. Just my opinion. Don't get me wrong they are some nice deer. You don't know me or how I hunt so don't assume things until you know the facts. By the way, I already knew they use muzzleloaders because that is the best hunt during the November rut. Don't preach to me that they are great hunters because they use muzzleloaders. In-line muzzleloaders are very accurate and are good to 200+yards. I'm not arguing the fact that the deer are not nice deer. All I'm saying is that the methods used to take them do not impress me. Sorry, if I offended you and your idols. I personally know alot of good hunters out there that have hunted and hunted hard all their life and never killed anything big that I have an extreme amount of respect for. The number of trophy bucks on the wall doesn't always make someone a good or great hunter. The trophy is in the eye of the beholder.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-09-04 AT 04:21PM (MST)[p]I'm sure the Raddon's are nice people and I have nothing personally against them. I don't know them personally. All I know is that they buy tags every year on the Paunsaugunt. If they are good hunters then great. Sorry if I offended anyone. My beef is with the system that lets it go on. I agree fin little.

It's nice to see that all the $$$ from developing the winter range along the Wasatch Front is killing big bucks down south too...........

Nothing personal against the Raddons, I don't know them, but I'd also be a lot more impressed if they shot deer like that year after year on a general season public hunt. I'd probably do the same thing if I had their money though.

Let me take a wild guess here...

Some if not all of the guys on this site that have a problem with the Raddons and the way they hunt, probably fall and worship at Doyle Moss's feet and kiss his butt everytime they are in the same room with him.

And most likely some if not all of you have a Kings Calendar hanging on your wall.

I guess the post above that really sums it all up is "Those who can do... those who can't whine about it."

Life ain't fair I guess. All I know is when I get the money in my pocket, I'll have a tag and be in Raddon's hip pocket. And if I get enough money they'll let me go shoot my trophy in December and put me on a video so I can be a hero.

Perhaps the system is flawed... Oh well, so is every other system on the planet. There will always be those smart enough and resourceful enough to use the system to their advantage.

Then there will be guys like me not smart enough to ever figure it out. So I'll just keep living vicariously through those who have figured it out.

-Dawg

Them are some nice bucks, Thanks for posting.

I would rather find the sheds than to kill any of those
bucks, nothing overly impressive about the deer killed,
but sheds are great. Don't know how much they pay to hunt,
but it's not worth more than my $38.00 dollar Nevada app.
fee.

"It's nice to see that all the $$$ from developing the winter range along the Wasatch Front is killing big bucks down south too..........."

Prism you took the words right out of mouth. I have met the Raddons and I liked the guys, but they are destroying the habitat on the Front.

Nice bucks for sure. I thought Utah didn't have any mature deer left in the state. Dawg, haven't you heard the old saying "Never cast your pearls before hounddoggers or something like that".

Hound Dawg,
Don't assume that I worship Doyle Moss or any of his hunting methods. Give me a break and don't get me started about that. Again, I'm sorry if I offended you about your idols. My beef is with the system as stated above for letting this crap go on year after year. Fin little said it better that I did. I just don't get it though how some people can put others on a pedistal for killing a big buck in December with snow up to its belly after paying thousands of dollars to do it. If that is a hero then we're in deep trouble. I don't get why in the world our Utah DWR would promote this crap. Other states have Governors tags but they don't seem to give all these other tags out like 100+CWMU tags, 100+conservation tags, 100+landowner tags. Utah is the only one it seems that has started this crap. And it has been a real contributor in the decline of hunting as a sport in our state, and also a contributor to the downfall of our limited entry units along with the general hunt. Just my opinion.

Great bucks. Thanks for sharing.
I do not know the Raddon's or the story behind the hunts but I am jealous if they produce like that every year.
I think anyone that sees another hunter get bigger bucks than themselves each year is jealous or envious in one way or another.
Best,
Jerry

To you guys that hate people with money,(30 in.)
I was just wondering where the cutoff point is to where you start hating someone out of pure envy?
Is it anyone that makes more money than you?
I for the life of me cannot understand the jealousy thing!
Just yesterday I was at a guy's house that has taken all the sheep of the world several times over, has several "Grand Slams",3 Marco Polos, a collection of HUGE bucks of all species,in a word he has nearly done it all in the hunting world!
He has never entered any of these fair chase trophies in any book, and wishes to remain very low profile.
I will never in my lifetime take a fraction of what he has on one wall!
My point is, that just because I will never be able to do those things should I be so bitter that I should slight and criticize those that can? What arrogance!
My way of thinking is that instead of wasting my time talking sh!t about someone,I would instead much rather be out busting my ass working to afford a special trip!
IF YOU HAD THE MONEY,WOULD YOU WASTE YOUR TIME HUNTING PISS POOR PROPERTY?..... YEAH RIGHT!
That jealousy thing BLOWS MY MIND!

Prism is right about them developing winter range. And who hasn't seen their bucks, they got pictures of their bucks plastered all over the place.

HH,
Don't put words in my mouth that were never said. You don't know me or how much money I make. If I wanted to spend my money for a trophy then I would. To me that wouldn't be a trophy and to others it would be. In my opinion you might as well go buy one already mounted, ready to go, and make up stories. If a canned hunt makes you happy then great. To me I might as well stay home. I think I'll just continue hunting the piss poor property as you call it along with everyone else and once in awhile harvesting a good buck because of hard work. I'm entitled to my opinion and you're entitled to yours.

This site used to be really entertaining but now I mostly just find it comical. Now I realize why I'm the last of my buddies that will even come out here anymore for a visit. I don't know what happened but it sure happened fast. I had to look at the URL after I made that post to see if I hadn't been redirected to Monster **** instead.

The site is called Monster Muleys and no sooner do you post some photos of nice mule deer and it starts. They come out of the woodwork. Of course I'm not talking about everyone on the site. But some of these guys are just downright comical.

But the most amusing part of all is those critical cuz they are developing on ?critical mule deer winter range? above Draper. I wonder what the weather is like on the planet you guys are living on. Must be nice and sunny no doubt. There are 200 developers in the valley either lined up behind them to do the same thing or kicking themselves thinking ?Why didn't I think of that first?? And a bunch in California eyeing up the other side of the foothills.

Funny thing is you'd just have another reason to be jealous or critical when you discovered that he donates 10 or better yet 100X more money towards wildlife than you do. Call the SFW and tell them you want Raddon?s booted out of the club cuz they are developing on winter range. They?ll laugh in your face.

Maybe the U of U should kick Jon Huntsman out of the booster club too cuz he built a power plant on prime Russian moose winter range overseas.

Newsflash: Your winter range is screwed!! Face the facts. Kiss it goodbye cuz it's going with or without Raddons. I am reminded of a quote by a wildlife biologist that predicted about 20 freakin? years ago that wildlife commissioners, politicians, lobbyists and wildlife groups would fiddle and ##### around with inconsequential issues while the landscapes around them were consumed. Man, was that ever prophetic!! If the DWR or SFW or better yet YOU owned the land then Raddon?s couldn't develop it could they? So go buy a mountain side, pay taxes on it every year and just sit on it so the deer have a place to winter. This is America and you can do that kind of stuff.

Another Newsflash: I've looked into the Raddons photo albums and scrapbooks and these guys have been killing big deer their whole lives. The photos you've seen in Eastman?s or Trophy Hunter or on this site are not even a drop in the bucket. These guys were killing big deer on public land back in the 70?s and 80?s, in Utah, Colorado, etc? long before they ever set their sights on the Kanab. If they posted half of one of their photo albums on this site, you guys would have to change your shorts and eat crow.

Pick your mountain anywhere in the west and I got money that says they'll kill bigger deer on YOUR mountain than you will. I guess I'm getting old cuz I've finally decided it's OK that someone is better at something than I am. I don't care that they are better mule deer hunters than I am. I also don't care that if they lost all their money they would still be out on public ground killing bigger deer than you and me. I sleep fine at night knowing that even if some guys don't.

I have another friend that kills really big deer. I finally realize why he told me no way in hell I was posting any of his photos on this site. It's all clear to me now. As much as I like comedy, I'm just worn out with this site and it's most likely worn out with me so it will be a mutual agreement when the door shuts behind me I'm sure. Don?t know why a hound dogger showed up on a mule deer site to begin with. I guess just to antagonize the **** formerly known as Fishon. You boys are right. Raddon?s only kill big deer because they are rich and they are the reason mule deer are on the decline cuz they are developers. Oh ya, and Kings Calendars are real photos. I'm sure when the magnificent seven appeared on that ridge with the full moon rising behind them, they realized it was the photo of a lifetime. Comical. Sorry I posted those and ruined a couple of people?s days, or weeks in some cases. To you guys... I apologize. You really are the greatest mule deer hunter in the west!! All others pale in comparison. See, even a hound guy can love and nurture.

Hasta baby? -HoundDawg, the second best mule deer hunter in Utah (Everybody else I've ever met is first)

I won't put words in your mouth if you don't put them in mine!
I don't know where you made the jump from spending on pricey hunts or tags, to "canned" hunts! Apples and Oranges!
Yes,I wish hunting trophy animals was a less expensive hobby.
However,in hunting like just about everything else in life,The guys with the big bucks (no pun intended) get the good stuff!
I learned a long time ago that I will never be able to compete with the heavy hitters in the sport, but I can appreciate the effort put forth by anyone (rich or poor)Who bags a great trophy!
I also know that through hard work and perserverance I have the ability to have my day in the sun also!

I bet old 30 inch pen-is envy can't even sleep at night, as he is having nightmares about chute planes and conservatives who have money and kill monster bucks. Class envy is a sick disease.

ZZZ!!!ZZZ!!!ZZZ!!!

WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE WAKE ME UP AROUND POST 200???

HELL YA 'THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN' ARE REAL,cass SEEN THEM IN NEVADA!!!(JUST KIDDING,NO OFFENSE cass!!!)

THE ONLY bobcat WANTING TO SEE SEVEN 'RACKS' OF THAT QUALITY IN ONE PILE!!!

how about those big deer they get that's not in Southern Utah, Those old boys put in a lot of time to do what they do, they don't just show up in a new truck and start shooting, I'm sure they spend more time scouting then they do hunting. Man did one of these guys steal your girl or what?

nice bucks. its not the hunters, its the way the system is run. if i could, i would do the same.

nk

A buddy of mine found the sheds to the heavy 5x6 last year, and I have seen two of the three bucks on the hoof! I didn't know that someone killed that 5x6 until this post though. You guys didn't do to bad this year! My uncle got a 168", 29" wide buck down there this year. It was not what he was after or what we had scouted but thats how it ended up.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-10-04 AT 11:46AM (MST)[p]bobcat you are about the funniest damn guy on this site! I get the biggest kicks out of your cracks and pops! Keep it up

Hey HoundDawg, sorry to see you go. Don't let the door smack your a$$ on the way out... oh, wait a second, hold that door open for me, I'm leaving too, but I want to say a couple of things first.

When I first started coming to this site a few years ago, I was able to meet some quality folks that were fun to joke with and would give you advice and pointers through private emails. It was also a forum that one could post some jokes, a place to let off steam, and a place to tease your neighbor. It seems now that it is saturated with too many young (and old) bucks that feel the need to piss on the ground to mark their territory. To all of you -

Good luck living a bitter life. No matter how much cash you acquire you will never be rich. No matter how big the buck is at your feet, you will never feel satisfied. No matter how many guys shoot the sh!t with you, you won't have friends. Why? Because wealth, success, and friendship aren't measured in your terms - and you will never figure out what those terms are because you despise anyone that may have found an insight or two.

To all the fun guys in this forum, keep up the good fight and good luck in the field, office and home. Many of you are the salt of the earth.

And to the owner of the sight, Brian. Thanks for the memories...

What is wrong with you people? This is an internet forum, NOT REAL LIFE! So what if someone says something negative about you or your friends or anything else, it is not like they came over to your house and insulted you to your face. Take it all with a grain of salt and relax. If the only interaction with the outside world is what you get through this forum, then you have much bigger problems than someone saying something about one of your comments. The steps you need to take are to first get a real life, and then get a sense of humor!
(Please note: This comment is not directed at any one in particular, I don't want anyone to start crying)

30inch,

im with you on this one. i think its BS that if you have alot of money you can hunt the paunsagaunt every year. you should have to put in through the general draw just like everyone else has to. nothing against those guys they kill some great deer but they should have to do it like everyone else does. also im sick of you guys that worship people like the Raddons because you "know them personaly" and think that puts you up there with god. come down off your high chairs cause your not impressing anybody!

Dawg, you 'da man. :) Whooda thunk that you could have caused so much preachin with just a couple a buck pictures - ON A DEER FORUM! <rolleyes>

Relax, you know good and well that some of us appreciate when you find the time to troll through this pond. Keep it up.;-)

Ya I think the raddon are great hunters, I have seen them hunt and they just dont hunt the pansaguant. They hunt alot of public land with there bows. They also kill alot of big deer in the uintas. I think they are great hunters and they hunt extemly hard. Money dont matter you f***ers Are just jealous, The Raddons work really hard for one thing and it is so they can take time off with their family and do what they love to do and they do it damn well

jesse, jesse, jesse...calm down..such harsh words for your first post...relax, most of us are with you...by the way, terrific bucks!!

I was just haveing a really bad day and i took it out on this sorry for the words i decided to use

Wow, pretty heavy.... everyone falling on thier sword & all, just seems so; dark, epic, depressing ect.... & all it took was one envious, little muley unit to chew threw to the bone, I figured them fellers with hounds for a lot thicker hide than that, I'm with Ruttcrazed, don't lay over that easy, sick them dogs on his sorry a$$.

BTW, thanks for the picts.

Yeh! You tell'em BFE. The finger pointing little pukes got the green eyed muley monster chewing on their shorts and before you know it.............BAM...........open mouth/enter foot. Getting into a personnal attack on someone just because they killed some nice bucks. I don't know those guys from Tom Selleck, but it sure as hell pisses me off that these guys are disparaged by some bitter jingle-ass and thats OK but God forbid you use a penile reference or something like that.

Of course thats just my opinion. I could be wrong.
