7 points in Co

Howdy guys
I have 7 elk points in Colorado. I'll never draw units 201 or 10 in my life time so I'm looking to get rid of them on a decent hunt. I've never hunted Co so I'm looking for some help. Any info on my chances to draw a tag for rifle or muzzleloader would be appreciated.

Welcome to the club,anyone with 7-10 PP is kinda stuck to many points to burn on a so-so unit and not enough for the trophy units.
There looks like several units that you could draw with the smokepole or rifle.Just look it up on the CDOW website there's to many for me to list.Down to three weeks so do the research quick.
IMO I would stick it out and wait for the trophy units and if you can afford it hunt in Colorado in some other units or hunt some other state for a few years till the time and PP get closer to draw your tag.

Thanks elknut. I'll look into the areas you suggested. The problem I have is the timing of the seasons, I'm guiding in Nevada from Oct 1 thru Nov most of the time, that why I was thinking about a muzzleloader hunt.

Hell I have 15 NR PP and feel like I will never draw.

Wes.. ya could bow-bull 76 with a little luck on 7 points? I wouldn't waste them on 40 mzzy unless you can get some private ground to hunt..

To many points for most units and not enough for a few of the big hype units...
