my partner and i are considering wyoming as an option for our muley hunt this year. any suggestions of regions/units to put in for? we would like to be able to hunt foothills/prairie environment if possible. i guess we're a little lazy. tried steep mountains in new mexico with nothing but sore feet.

There is so much to consider. Wyo has lots of public land, but with few exceptions the easy access areas on public land are also heavily hunted when there are good deer numbers. I would suggest hunt units within the central Wyo area to find fair deer numbers and good access. Try around Jeffrey City, Shoshoni, Atlantic City. This is fair open country, not too steep hills. Some of these areas are tough draw odds. If you arent particular about a minimum size deer, you'll have plenty of fun in any of the areas in that region. If you want a good cahnce at a 160+ deer, you'd be better off trying for an area like 90, but draw odds are poor. Good luck.
