I am hunting for info. I need someone to confirm what I am 99% sure is good information. The Books was divided into three units for the deer hunt, found out an outfitter bought up a bunch of north Bookcliffs landowner Tags and the word is he has convinced the powers to be that he can take them hunting on the South unit. Also there are conservation tags for auction, some are roadless some are Bookcliffs. Is it right to allow the Bookcliffs to hunt North and south.

What do you fellows think that put in for a south tag, the hunt goes to November 7th so you know that a lot of the big boys will be down. I have lived and hunted here all my life and I don't think The herd can take that kind of pressure. Besides if you buy a north tag hunt the north. Smells a lot like money talks again.

By the way once again I put in for elk so I am not deer hunting I just had to vent a little.

CHECK YOUR INBOX!!!

IT MAY NOT BE RIGHT BUT THATS THE WAY THEY DONE IT LAST YEAR!!!

THE ONLY bobcat WONDERING HOW MANY UNITS WILL EVENTUALLY BE IN THE BOOK CLIFFS???

From what I heard, it was Garth Carter Hunting service that bought all the land owner tags. And they are allowed to hunt both bitter creek and south units. He paid $3,500 for each tag and sold em for $4,000.

Ya your right it was Garth that bought the tags. I just hate to see greed bring this hunt down again. I saw a few really nice bucks this year Chasing lions. Garth buys up all of Campbells tags on the south side also. I just hate to see it get hammered especially into november.
