However, laws are passed by people, and when 80% of your population identifies as Christian, then, well, you get it. But, I agree, no religion in government is a key and one of the beautiful things about this country.

I thought to be a Christian you are supposed to be able to see the fruit of the spirit in that person. Or am I wrong about that? Seems like an old church lady told me that way back in Sunday School. She said many people are actually Christians but go through the rituals to make themselves appear better. That most Christians are not real kind of soured me on the whole thing for life.
