AZ UNIT 8

I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS UNIT AND ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED. ANYONE WILLING TO HELP? LET THE SCOUTING BEGIN AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL YOU LUCKY TAG HOLDERS! UNIT 8 ARCHERY, HERE I COME.

Congrats to you! 11M cow tag for myself. Looking forward to it sooooooooo much. Had the best time last year and lookin for another great hunt! Good luck to you.

The west side of 8 holds some awesome bulls. Don't get tricked into hunting the hat ranch. Anywhere near the powerline and devil dog canyon hold awesome bulls. One more place is near Tule point, a lot of good bulls go to there and get cows. First choice would be the cedars on the west side. Even as far as Monte Carlo exit.

If I gave "your secret spot" away, I am sorry. It takes people a long time to draw these tags, so I don't think many people are going to be hunting there. This guy asked for advice and I gave him advice. If somebody takes it, then good. I make my living hunting there also, I did not tell how, when, or why to hunt there. But I like to see EVERYONE have a good hunt in OUR home state as well.

There are too few permits in Arizona not to help out. The majority of this site I think appreciates your help. I always look forward to your comments.

With how the draw works you have a better chance winning the lottery then being able to hunt you favorite unit year after year.

At the risk of starting some crap, I got to say there is NO WAY you drew either a resident or non-resident archery bull elk tag in Unit 8 with your third choice!

Sorry bud, it just doesn't happen.

All of the premium elk tags are issued in the first two drawings (20% pass pool) and then the regular draw.

The only time there is a draw for 3,4, or 5th choices if there are tags leftover after the first two draws, and I'm darned sure that there were no Unit 8 archery bull tags left over after those draws!

Sure there were some leftover cow tags this year but not bull tags.

Better check your application. I got to believe that Unit 8 was either your first or second choice.

If you have a unit 8 tag, you do have a good one, have fun, you'll see and hear lots of bulls..

I agree with Don, I know people that had Unit 8 down for the 1st and 2nd choice and did not get drawn. If you truely got drawn on 8 was your third choice then something got messed up with the computers.

DON YOU WERE RIGHT I READ MY APP WRONG. I DID'NT MEAN FOR ANY CRAP TO GET STARTED. UNIT 8 WAS MY SECOND CHOICE AND I GUESS I WAS SO EXCITED ABOUT THE TAG IT REALLY DID'NT MAKE A DIFFERENCE. 12 YEARS IS ALONG TIME TO WAIT FOR A TAG I JUST HOPE IT IS AS GOOD AS EVRYONE SAYS IT IS.
