Southwestern Colorado units?

I second that Deerking! The deer have all been rounded up by helicopters and herded to the Southern Ute Indian Reservation. Oh, there's a small charge/fee to hunt them there if you can ever get them to return your letters or phone calls.......

You might want to try Utah. Best deer in the WEST!

grim,
Muleys are hit and miss on public lands, I can point you to some decent deer country on public lands but a good buck is pretty much luck. If your heart is set on SW Colorado, Hit haystack mountain up on the glade and that area, tough to hunt though because of the oak brush, somewhat steep but not too bad. but I have always spooked a nice buck out of there every time!
Like the earlier posts said, if you know someone with private land, no problem! Theres a crap load of deer on the dryside but not too many left up in the higher elevations, they are still there though.

Didn't you hear the news? Colorado is in the middle of a terrible die off this year!!!

OSOk, I just haven't seen it here, maybe cuz all I ever see is the private land deer. But I still see lots of deer everyday so I know there is not much of a die off around my house.
