Just testing the water so to speak. May have to do a archery solo hunt this year as I doubt I will draw any tags. Could go to Colorado and do a public land hunt at my families place out of Pagosa Springs, but wanting to hunt in a better area that holds mature Elk as opposed to two and three year old bulls that you mainly find in Co. Looking for opportunity at 330 plus type elk. Private land would be O.K. as long as it don't break the bank. New Mexico would be my 1st choice. Anyone have any suggestions.
