Mule deer banquet

Anyone going to the Mule deer foundation banquet in Livermore on March 12th? Sounds like a pretty good dinner, their raffling off 40 guns and a quad. Some great tags will be auctioned if you got the $$$$, Wyoming governers tag is one of them as well as a Red Stag/Hog hunt in New Zealand. I'll be there.

Hey Gene,
The banquet is in Livermore Ca on March 12th, doors open at 5:30pm. Livermore is about 45 minutes east of SF, off of 580, just past Pleasanton. I think it's at the shrinners hall, or something like that. Dinner is at 7:30pm and the auction/raffle start at I think 8:30pm. It's $80 for an individual and $135 for a couple. If you purchase the raffle tickets a head of time, you get $140 worth of tickets for $100. I'll be there, this is the first banquet of this kind for me, been to mostly DU banquets. This sounds like it will be a fun night.

No I won't be attending this one as I will be down in Bakersfield for the March Meet at Fomoso Raceways. Will be going to a CDA Banquet in Calistoga on April 30th though.

I'll be there! Just tell them to look for a guy with a cute little 5' mexican girl with him, that will be me and my girlfriend. I'll make it a little easier, tell them i'll be wearing a blue t-shift with a yellow Nike symbol on it.
They should have a blast.

Holy crap, the March Meet. They still have that going on? I use to go to that every year with my Dad and a bunch of buddies from the Fresno P.D.. Hell, that must have been over 20 years ago. Seen a lot of good wrecks. Do they still run the jet cars? Haahaaa... I will have to call my Dad on this one and jar his memory.

Yes it is still going on and this year it is the 45th Meet. No more JET CARS, it is the Nostalgic Drag races. No real big cars like Bernstein, Force etc. But still great action and always a wreck or crash.
The highlight is always on Sunday when they get ready to start the races, there are some real dare devil planes that come right down over the course and startle the crowd then go straigt up and do all of those tail spins and loops. NO CHUTE PLANES HERE.
