Great buck! That's what I'M hoping to find someday. I want a 30" buck so bad I can taste it. That buck is close to 30 on his main beams isn't he? Congrats

LAST EDITED ON Mar-07-04 AT 08:01PM (MST)[p]here is a better picture, I'm new at this computer stuff. I have been trying to upload to hunt 101 for 2 weeks, with picture it 9 microsoft and it kept trying to send everything in my files, and it wouldn't work. s-l-o-w-l-y figuring stuff out
now. with a jasc paint shop.

I shot this one in the strawberry area, co-op creek side. up high, only about 5-6 miles from current creek.

ure,

Great looking buck you got there! Congrats! There is just something about them wide bucks that really appeals to me. Way to go!

Wow! That sucker is wide! Not many bucks like that roaming around on our public land here in UT. Congratulations!

Lets here the story that goes with him.

Thanks for posting the picture.

Curious to know what year that buck was harvested? The reason I ask is because in the enlarged picture the antlers look to have been "stained". Is it a recent kill?

Who would be stupid enough to put a poached head on this site for the whole world to see? He said he was from Utah Not Idaho!

Hey Brian, please keep the public forum alive, as this feller has pointed out, doing away with it, won't suddenly make everyone, see eye to eye, plus the public forum saves them time from having to get registered & all.

DUVY,

I think I hunted the same buck couple of years back. I hunted him for two years with a dedicated tag. I missed him twice during the muzzleloader hunt, never got a good shot at him during the archery season, and he'd simply vanish during the rifle hunt. I think the elk hunters chased him into the thick timber.

He may not be the same buck, but I'd be willing to put money on it. Email me and I'll tell you right where I chased him around for a year or two. Congrats again on one hell of a buck from that country. He was one of a kind, the biggest I've seen in over 14 years of hunting up there.

It was last years,
the taxidermist didn't do a very good job on him, his horns are stained a little, and glossed. also i dont like that if you look real close you can see his eye is tweaked.
and the nose holes are filled, instead of being tucked in
