Has anyone else seen the article in "HUnting Illustrated" about that massive buck from Washington. Fifty One inches of mass. They didn't give the individual measurements, but thats a 6 1/2 inch average for all! WOW! Poor thing nets 7/8 inch under Book!

That mass is what turns my on most, I'd take that buck over a 210 typ!!

It was shot in conconully in 03

Ya that is the one. I love that deer. My good friends Dad knows a guy up there and he is good friends with this guy. I guess this guy sleep in and missed his hunting buddies and got out there late and stumbled on this and didnt even know how big it was till he walked up to it. I am trying to get some more pics from them. I guess the FWD said they have never had a deer like that in WA. They think it came down from Canada. Thats what i heard anyways

Keith,

I believe the 2 previous posted bucks were taken in the Yakima Firing Range on the late draw hunt. Looks like some nice terrain!

Now thats a heck of a buck. I would love pop one with a rack like that. I think I would take the 210 typical though..

Anyway you cut it that buck is a TOAD! It wouldn't surprise me if it was homegrown here in WA, there are better genes here than people give the deer credit for.

Hey fella's....I'm a WA native and also hunt in the Okanagon, and I can't believe I haven't seen or heard of that buck! Probably because there's not a very good story behind it if the dude slept in and then sumbled upon it huh....lol.

Anyways, those other two I don't believe were taken out of the Firing Range. They came out of a unit lets say, on the other side of the Columbia River . I've been trying to draw the tag for 6 years.

I like the fact that we're starting to break the sterio-type of WA state not having any big deer. Just because their not behind every piece of sage, they are out there.

Hey all, first time poster here, those two bucks are off the firing center, ive seen pics that came from a guard there when they were killed. I live 10 miles from the firing center, I hunt Okanagan also and cant believe this is the first time ive heard of that non typ. Hes a dandy for sure.

I grew up in washington running around the collville indian res. and saw a couple of bucks of this caliber come out of there most of the time the rack gets tossed into a pile and no one ever hears about it. There there just not talked about on a national level.

Sshhhhhhh, Don't tell everyone there are bucks like that running around here. I keep telling everyone there aren't, and that they should go to Idaho. If there aren't bucks like that around here, why is the number two typical mule deer shed antler in the world from Washington?

Hey Outlawed, have you ever heard of hellgate?

Hey bonaddict...been to hellgate and back with some white dude from yakivegas...last I heard he lost his scalp though...taking too many horns...

Yeah, I know him. He needed to invest in better camo. I told him he should have dyed his hair and tanned more often. He told me he lost his scalp Typee creeping though, not from chasing tine.

Kirk,

Welcome! You might know from Moosie's place as spotted Owl. Anyway, this is also a cool to hang out. Did you get a look at the quotas for this year? I got a copy from the dept, but they won't be out for a couple of weeks to the public.
