Nevada apps are out

Just checked the Nevada Department of Wildlife webpage and the 2004 big game applications are available online now. Brochures and apps will be in the mail by Friday, 3/19. Deadline is April 19.

One big change is that this year non residents and resident can apply for deer on the same party application.

NVB,

I wonder what brought on this big change allowing res/non-res to apply together?
That will make one of my friends happy as his oldest son will be going to the UNIV there in Reno starting this fall and will be there for a few years or more.
Thanks for the update and will be looking towards the mailbox next week for sure.

They held the drawing today for the guided hunts. They will post the results next week on there web site. Lets just say I will not have to put back in for the regular drawing for deer for NV

Not even gonna look! I'm so disappointed in the alotment of tags to us nonres/res big game hunters that I bet I hit a $40,000,000.00

Oh come on Jack, last years hunt was a good one.
if you failed to get a good buck it's not because
there were none. Not saying you don't know what
your doing, but the area 10 tag is one of the best,
I know you had some bad luck when it came to the
4 wheeler smile. but don't get spooked by those
big mountains, that's where the bad boys hang.

okay,okay! I just did not know as much as I should! you helped me much! but The JR. Any Deer Hunt caught me off guard!! and man everywhere there were hunters EVERYWHERE!,it was like an "x" zone here in CA opening weekend. Wish I had a horse! I did expect the pressure! Still think it take long and cost to much for any one to hunt Anything in NV.

On a mixed party application, there has to be enough quota left in both pools to fill the party, or the application is unsuccessful. That has to hurt a resident's odds, even if his out of state buddy has lots of points. Plus the nonresident gets his points pulled down, so his odds are hurt too.
