Rackmaster and Greybeard,
Most of the pics I post are sent to me by other hunters in the province or are actually my own. These ones weren't. I actually was playing around with the scanner at work the other day and scanned a few pics from the book Trophy Deer and Elk of BC. These are some of my favorites from the book and I thought you guys would like to see them. The book is out of print and totally sold out. I hope that Rick Berreth will do another edition one day because there are a whack of monsters taken since 1994 when the book was compiled.
Here's a comment in the book that I like about that 290 giant, "Neil told me that his dad said it's body was on the small side, only 240 lbs. What kind of bucks were taken in that era, we can only guess."

And no one in worried much about antlers in what? 1934?
back in early 60's(I was7-8yrs old) I was nuts about a huge piles of racks that were in my grandfather barn, spend all day in their!
Most racks came from north eastern California others South Utah,Colorado,Arizona.(a hundred easy bulls and bucks)
About 20 years ago I asked my Uncle about them and he said he had them however they gotten wet and rotted so he thrown them away! But he will leave the dozen or so mounts to me when he gone which was a tear jerker hes the only one left! Grandfather, and Uncles only hunted horn in UTAH,COLORADO!
