The seat really doesn't mean chit. the democrats are still behind so far it would take dozens to matter. what does matter is there are over 100 seats coming up in November that are far less republican territory in play.


Democrats shouldn't have a chance in this race. but at the moment it looks like they're going to win it. either way this is a " yuge " chit sandwich for republicans that the margin will be in the 100's .

If this is how Trump helps campaigns he's going to get shot down on approach during the midterms. he needs to stay away so they have a chance.

Did you see Saccone on the trail? He was behind 8 points before Trump went in but he sucked as a candidate. I would have voted for Lamb in that one. Saccone is a frumpy old politician and Lamb was young, military and well spoken. He supposedly is against Pelosi and pro 2nd amendment. Middle road will carry the elections this fall.

So explain how this isn't a loss because it was like the Alabama race, Trump became personally involved and yet in district he won, the voters said no to the Republican. Seems like one should learn something from this.

Republicans will pay a price for Trump, just like Democrats paid a price for Obama. That is just a fact. The longer Trump stays in office, if a second term is a reality, the steeper the price the party will pay.

Nemont it is because of 8 years of Obama that we got Trump. People are tired of career politicians that forget their promises once back in office.

As for Trump, you have a problem of selling him short. I look for him to ramp up the GOP and get them to unite like the Democrats have done. Only problem with the Democrats is they allowed the progressive left of their party take control instead of the moderate members.

Trump will use the fact that if they fail to unite and pass some good bills, a lot of GOP congress members will be out of a job this coming fall. He will also use the same tactic on some Democrats that are up for re-election to go with the GOP on certain bills. Trump is not as dumb as you like to portray him as being due to your hatred of him.

Just be glad we do not have Hillary in there or even milk toast Jeb Bush.

It isn't hatred at all. It is fact driven that he is lying POS and in the end that will be born out. He will deliver economic gains based on borrowing another $5 Trillion in his first term and will add as much debt as Obama did if he does two terms. That is just fact, not hatred.

Saccone said liberals have "hatred for our country" and "hatred for God". Lamb ran as a more conservative candidate than the "R" in this race and won.
Lamb raised $3.9 million and spent $3.1 million in the race. Saccone raised $917,892 and spent $614,858 on his campaign. Of the $12 million spent in the race from "outside" money was mostly spent by GOP affiliates.
Saccone was just a terrible candidate and got his clocked clean in a easy district.
With all that being said, I don't see the loss as a broad referendum on Trump, just like a win wouldn't have been a good prediction of the midterms. I'm not sure how you have voted on the past, but hopefully people vote for the best candidate in the race, not matter who is in the White House.
