Anyone have any success hunting elk above the Oakley area as well as up Weber Canyon towards Smith and Moorhouse areas? Beautiful country and supposedly there's a herd of elk that reside in that area around 500 head or more. Not asking for any honey holes nor do I plan to ever hunt up their just wondering if there's been any success stories..
I have the cabin up Weber Canyon just passed the Fish Lake trailhead, tons of moose and deer, seen elk sign but never any in person..

Thanks

Sure is pretty country.

It sure is! Thanks for the pics...I thought most of the country up there is forest service property?

once you get up high it is, I was talking about the lower ground above the farms. There is certianly no lack of public land though. The first picture was after a 6 mile hike from the road.

Here is a bull that I took a few years ago with my bow. Nothing big but it was a lot of fun.
