I agree. They will get something done but it will take a lot longer than they are expecting. I try not to underestimate anyone but something is bugging me with these young people. I can't tell if they are in it for the long haul or if it's the attention they enjoy. In a few months will their marches be fewer or stronger?

Politicians can learn from this. It seems like if you publicly support these kids, it's a good career move. Obama threw some words of encouragement to them the other day and it was all over the papers yet he did nothing about it when he was in office. Maybe some on the right can use a few of their hashtags to support them then do nothing. That would shock the fake news they hate so much and earn them some "likes".
 
Dude you need to worry about your own state politicians and proposition #42 that they are going to bring to a vote. It goes beyond assault rifles to any semi auto firearm including shotguns and pistols. Just the start of things to come.

It's called indoctrination. Governments are very good at it especially when they control the schools our children are forced to attend (except the few that can be home schooled).

This group should model the Civil Rights movement. It had a great leader that didn't endorse any party and used the microphone as such. It also had activists that put on their best clothing to make the marches and sit-ins. This group and their leaders use the podium to bash the NRA and as a fight against gun rights. The left is off limits and they can relax and point the finger at the right and do nothing but buzz about it. How nice would it be if they dressed better, picked better leaders, and and were non partisan? I think I would be much more interested in what they had to say. Their mom and step dad would feel better about their child's participation too.

I get the feeling that they are more about making noise than results.

One thing for sure, in 1 - 4 years (think 2020, 2022) these kids will be voting. If they vote in large numbers they will make changes. Whether we like their message or not they will be heard.
