got an offer to hunt a ranch near there but can't find it on the map does it exist...or am I spelling it wrong...any info out there.......

Shelley, Idaho near Idaho Falls. Should be good if the property is posted, and has some cover, this is farm country.

Shelly is about 5 miles south of Idaho Falls. It is farms all the way around but it turns to rolling hills to the east and the snake river is just a little to the west. I have never hunted there but it should have some good hunting. I have hunted whitetail about 20 miles north of there so you might run into a few of them.

manny15,

I live in Idaho Falls and own land in Shelley. Who owns the ranch you are looking to hunt on? I know quite a few of the ranchers/farmers that run in the hills east of Shelley (which is where the majority of the mule deer are). Some of the properties up there are going into the new "Access Yes" program, others are tied up tighter than a frogs butt, and others aren't posted at all (you can imagine the quality of hunting you get there).

I have hunted a ranch up there for several years that my brother-in-law's family owns. There was a real eye popper taken on the ranch next to his 6 or 7 years ago, but they are few and far between. My biggest and only to date taken from there is a 24 inch 3X4, and haven't had the opportunity to pull the trigger on anything larger.

were still in the courting stage, my son's girl friend's parents live up there & invited us...

Lived there for a year. My uncle bill harker owns alot of land there and has seen some big bucks up there too. Some pretty country when you get up in the hills.

RE: Shelley Idaho...?...

manny15,
If you haven't figured it out yet Shelley has one more "E" than the way you where spelling it.
I grew up in Idaho Falls area and I've hunted the hills east of Shelley some. 300Winnie's description is exactly what my opinion of the area is. There are some good buck there but it would be a mistake to pass on a 20" four point unless you have done some serious scouting or have access to a good chunk of private land.
