I found this one this morning. What do you think it might end up scoring?

Thanks,I really have not quite figured out how to get good pictures through the scope yet. Does anyone know what is the best setting for focus? I have tried manual and set it to infinity and I have tried macro and automatic. Regardless I just can't seem to get a real good clear picture. It looks much better through the scope itself. I am sure that if I spent the money for Swaravski's digital camera base mount it would help but I really thought if I could hold the camera in just the right position that I would do ok.

It looks to me that you are NOT using a remote shutter or a timed shutter? If you try to manually press the shutter the picture will be a little blurry. Get the mounting bracket. If there is a dark ring around your photo zoom the camera in a little. You should be able to use auto focus. Good Luck

LL, I just bought a Swarovski 65mm scope & haven't figured out how to take good photo's with it yet. Do you think the $200 + bucks for the Swaro camera mount is worth it? Or just pay the $49.95 for the Cabelas special? I know I ain't going to pay $250.00 for Swaro's soft case. I'm not a pro, just looking for some advise for a amature.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-23-07 AT 07:29PM (MST)[p]I'd say 330-340....Definitely keep an eye on him if possible. Would love to see how he turns out when done growin.

Actually the part I would like is the DCB or Digital Camera Base that allows you to attach many different types of cameras to the scope. They want over $400 for it. It is probably $10 of plastic. There has got to be some other option. I do like how it can swing out of the way and back.

Oh ya......he'sstill growing! Gonna be a stud!

He's still growin' alright but don't expect too much more! That's a pretty young bull there and he's lacking in mass and main beam length. He'll go right around 300 right now and might make 320 when he's done but don't bet on it.

Nice pics. Thanks for posting. Good bull. He's about done growing. He'll finish out a little on the ends but I'd guess in the 320 range. Post a pic with you kneeling behind him this fall !! C.C.

Having seen him in person I also think that he is going to end up in the 340-350 range. I know it is difficult from pictures but I was hoping to be able to somewhat validate my thoughts on him. I also think that he is a young bull and has the potential to really be something in a couple of years.

So far he looks to be the 2nd best I have seen scouting this year so far. I hope to find some other bigger ones. I know the unit is capable of it. I will keep you posted.

I am thinking more toward the 300-310 maybe less. He doesn't have a ton of length on the tines.
Don't shoot til your ready!

That bull looks like a nice 300" bull nothing spectacular other than great pics and good scouting. Would he be a 360 on a wet year? Not to get anything started but a good question.

I agree with the majority of guys guessing 300-320...and 320 would be a miracle. Anyone who guesses 330-340 does know anything about elk antlers.

That is a very average six point bull..no more and no less...

320 with a month of growing left he should do okay, Should end up around the 330-340 mark with good feed.

Figure about 315 right now, with maybe another 10-12 inches of growth. He may go 330 when all is said and done, but will probably top out at 320-325.
