Nooksack WA Tag

Anybody know of anybody that drew one of the 12 New Nooksack tags for elk here in Washington.

All Im going to say is there is some really good bulls up there, that havent been hunted in many years either.

Ah yes, Don't forget it will really only be 10 non-tribal hunters. The department issued a statement a while back that they are holding back on one of the 'n/t' tags in case the winner of the western elk raffle tag decides to hunt the unit. And, they are holding out a second 'n/t' tag in case someone wounds a bull and then goes and kills a second.

Of course, all 12 of the tribal tags will get used and No, they won't be holding one out in case a tribal hunter 'wounds' a bull and then kills another....they are better shots I guess.

Inside source locally say there are some really big boys hangin' in those hills.

I know of two local guys that drew the archery tag! Haven't heard of any one else drawing yet!

Just found out a buddy of mine and his brother are the ones who drew the 2 archery elk tags, they sure are pumped.

Is Eldon your buddy? If not, do you know him? He's a good guy that would probably let you video for him if you don't know him. Do you know Jim Cook? That would be fun to watch a rifle hunter take a dandy also. Eldon drew the entiat tag also. What a bum!

Shane, Ya I know Eldon, I went to school with him and played baseball with him also. I called him yesterday and BSd for awhile, let him know of our plans for the video and if he was interested hopefully I can tag along for a couple days anyways. I dont know Jim but know who he is, That would be a good hunt to get some footage of also, Ill keep you posted. My hunting partner drew the late entiat bow so Ill be back over there with him again this year, I cant wait. Did you draw any tags? James

A buddy from work just came up to me and showed me his printed off confirmation for drawing a Nooksack Rifle tag. I am stoked even though the tag is not my own. He does not know the area at all or were to look and would love for me to video his hunt so looks like I get to help him harvest his elk and video, cant hardly wait.

I am a big loser in Washington yet again. I did not draw anything on either draw. I have 7 preference points for deer and have been putting in for a hunt that has a 1 in 4 chance for 4 years in a row and I have not drawn it once. Hows that for luck? Have fun in the Nooksack! The first year will be the best. We'll see where it goes from there.
I did draw a great Idaho elk tag though so I am going crazy for hunting season.
Has the baby been born yet? I have my second coming in December.

well i know two of the archery hunters personally. they're my brothers. I'm expecting great things from them! haha, i just hope they can hold off on the first 5 point they see.
