WY Reg B, Thunder Basin National Grasslands

We put in for Region B deer tags, intending to hunt on a friend's ranch he had recently purchased. We just found at that he sold it and the new owner isn't interested in letting us hunt. So....we are looking at public lands in Region B as we aren't really interested in paying to hunt. Can anyone provide some info on public lands in this area. Have sent off to the USFS for maps and am trying to get in contact with game wardens. It looks like the Thunder Basin Natl Grasslands has a lot of territory. We are just looking for nice deer, doesn't have to be a monster. This is our first trip to this part of Wyoming.

I went out there last year on October 1st because the area I normally hunt does not open until the 15th. There is a lot of territory, I hunted areas? 10 and 11 a few different days with my father, uncle, cousin, and a few friends and we did not see a buck nor see anyone with a dead one. The year before I went out there with my friend and we did see a guy with a 2 point. I saw the large unhuntable elk herd many time so that was cool! I bet there are big deer out there but I can not seem to find them. Email me if you want to hunt with me I am up for it.

I hunted up there last year on October 3rd. I saw two decent 3x3's but I didn't get a shot at them. Me and my dad were hunting the part west of Newcastle. We just walked the draws glassing and looking
