winter range straggler

I took a hike on the winter range in April. The same ridges that held many deer were now deserted. On one lonely ridge I did find a lone water hole.

Just when I was sure that there was not a deer was within 50 miles; I looked down and found the evidence of a straggler on the waters edge. I guess not everyone headed for the high country.
