Hey guys any help on this hunt. Drew it as a first choice and have some contacts to make but have never hunted this area but hear its a good one and feel lucky to have the tag. Appreciate any input or help. Hope to get at least one scout trip but live about as far away as you can from it in this state on the oly pen. thanks nwhunter

Great Tag NWHunter. A freind drew that rifle tag 2 years ago and killed a 370 bull. Get ahold of the biologist over there. He was real helpful with my friends hunt. If i can find anything else out I'll let you know.

Congrates on the tag. I live in Clarkston and spend alot of time up in the general area. Any help I can be of let me know. No fires yet, but keep your fingers crossed. Real dry down here. If you get a chance to scout let me know.

I live over here on the west side too but if I drew that tag I would do whatever you need to do in order to scout that area. That is one of the best big bull tags in the state. I have some friends that hunt over that way every year but I'm not sure how close they are to the wenaha. I'll ask around. Good luck! Do you have any knowledge of goat rocks? My brother in law drew a rifle tag for sep.22-30. Again good luck you should see some monsters.

good luck with the hunt. i will be on the opposite side of the state line scouting this weekend. don't get too greedy, but there are many good bulls. I just watched 2 330 bulls feeding last week on the open hillside. don't hold out for 370 without lots of scouting.

Thanks guys for the help and info and pms. Can't believe I was lucky enough to draw the tag. Plan to head over in a few weeks to scout a bit and get the lay of the land. Have offers from fellow MM to show me around. Thats whats great about this site and hope to return the favors someday. I am already driving the wife nuts with the phone calls and maps all over the bed and mutterings of "big bull" in my sleep. Scott

It has been a few years, but I used to concentrate my efforts near the three forks trail head, and up Driveway ridge from there. Always a few really good bulls in that area.
