Colorado Unit 771

My son and I were fortunate enough to draw late (hunt 04, Nov 6-10) mule deer tags for Colorado's unit 771. We chose this unit at random based upon the season dates and the location. We live in Arizona. If anyone has any info on this unit I'd really appreciate talking with you. I'm not expecting anyone to give up their honey holes or to just make things easy for us. I'm looking for some general recommendations, what we should realistically be expecting in antler quality, what are some good maps to purchase, and perhaps what the private land situation looks like. I'm hoping to make at least one or two scouting trips to learn the roads, access points, and good glassing locations.
