If the current world record typical buck is ever knocked off it's post, Which State or country do you think will produce the new record buck. I personally think that old Mexico will produce the next record typical, and Arizona would be the first state to produce a world record nontypical, although I don't think that will ever happen.

Colorado for both, just look at the record books, it's proof enough. "lee's meat buck" would beat Burris' if Darner didnt have it and it was taken in southern CO as well.

I think that if the Burris Buck is going to fall it will be beat by a deer out of Sonora. I know that some of you guys will think that I am just biased because I run hunts down there but I know of a couple of deer that are unknown to most that are top 5 deer. Both have been killed in the past 10 years and a buck that would have been the new #2 was killed down there in about 1995. Sonora is vast country and there are some areas that are not pounded. The poaching is nothing like it is here in the states and these deer dont have to worry about harsh winters or competition from other animals. Seriously, with the genetics and the other reasons I have listed I feel that Sonora would have the best chance. As for non-typical, I dont think it will ever be beat.

i agree mexico all the way. and the notyp will never be beaten.
Muley Man!

Come on guys, everyone knows that California grows more freaks of nature than anyone else.......Oooooohhhh we're talking mule deer. Never mind, my bad! :)

Seriously though, I don't think the Burris buck will fall. However, BC and/or the Strip may have a shot at the non-typical.
