Where's the passion?

It seams that it is all about the numbers. "It's a 400" bull". Who cares. If you like the bull, shoot it. Be proud of yourself in whatever size it is. Remember, it's about the hunt. It's about being free like the americans we are. So many times as americans, we tend to take these kind of opportunies for granted. I think it's time for all of us hunters to "re-group" and enjoy the life that we have.

With all respect,

RC

Right on Muleyman!

I think some of these crybaby adolesents need to go spend some quality time with the Nuge!

That is awesome great way to start a post! Rock on that is how I feel exactly. I have shot some big critters but I have shot some small ones too. I have an archery elk tag this year along with my brother and two good friends. We were talking about what size of bulls we would shoot and the consensus was whatever looks good. I always say I will be picky but I have only passed on 1 animal in my life. We will see if I actually can pass (spikes excluded) on a branch antlered bull. I cant say either way. But if it looks good I will be shooting. The only guy I know that can pass on critters is my brother. The adrenaline rush is the same if it is a little guy or a big guy. I shake in my boots every time before a shot sometimes I even throw up. No joke but that is why I hunt and hopefully some of you feel the same way as I do.

I can't improve on that comment, so I won't try.

Thanks for the post!

I agree!
Even though i get caught up in the "heat" on some of these posts, sometimes we just need to regroup, sit around the campfire and drink a beer together.

1fastgambler, i take it your a bass fisherman and you have a Gambler?? I can talk fishing all day long, i have a 201 Viper Cobra bass rocket myself, not to mention "the Nuge" signed my bow a few years back when i met him. :)

Yes sir, I have a 2007 Gambler 2100-250XS that is for sale & a new 2008 that has been sitting at the factory while I figure out how to get it here. Let me know if you know of anyone looking for a new boat! I have it posted on Bass Boat Central.

That's awesome that you have a bow signed!

Thanks!
Sean

I agree. Hunting is for family time, for fun with the kids. And teaching them to love the outdoors as much as we all do. We can't judge our hunt on the size of the animal we take, but on the fun of the hunt itself. Taking an animal is just a bonus to a great hunt.
